I am currently registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Prior to naturopathic medicine, I graduated from medical school in Romania. My conventional medical training has shaped my views on the importance of evidence-based medicine and collaborative care, while the naturopathic training has taught me to look at patients holistically, taking into consideration not only physical symptoms but also psychological, social, environmental factors and spiritual beliefs.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I strives to help individuals to achieve and maintain optimal health. My goal is to identify and treat the underlying cause of disease while addressing the symptoms with gentle, natural ways of treatment. In my practice, I use clinical nutrition, lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplements, botanical medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy to support the body’s innate healing ability. I provide treatment plans tailored to the individual needs and actively engage patients in managing their own health.

Services

  • The initial visit is designed to gather a comprehensive history of your health concerns, past medical history, allergies, medications, lifestyle, review of systems, etc. A focused physical exam and lab work can be recommended at this time if necessary for diagnosis. The treatment plan is tailored to your health needs and personal preferences.

  • Follow-up visits are meant to evaluate treatment efficacy, potential side effects, address new concerns or chronic disease prevention, etc.

  • Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a natural way of improving skin elasticity and muscle tone, minimizing the aspect of wrinkles and fine lines by enhancing collagen production. An initial visit is necessary to assess your overall health and rule out contraindications for this treatment. Results may vary depending on your diet and lifestyle, age and general health; usually, 8-10 sessions are recommended, 1-2 per week. After that, maintenance treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks. 

  • Please note that acupuncture treatments should be claimed under your naturopathic healthcare benefits.

  • Naturopathic medicine visits are covered by most extended healthcare benefits. 

  • Please be advised that lab tests requisitioned by a naturopathic doctor are not covered by OHIP.

NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS

Nutritional deficiencies may develop insidiously and cause significant health issues.  Vitamin/mineral deficiencies are not uncommon with the typical American diet, rich in processed foods. They can also be caused by inadequate digestion and absorption of nutrients.

ACUPUNCTURE
